Transition

Transition presents a constrained object bound with tension, balance, and perpetuated movement, staged with my own exploration of material. Interested by the internal structure of organic form, this piece became a study of internal and external use of space and formal qualities. Transition demonstrates early lessons in rigidity and flexibility of material and craftsmanship. I learned that wood has limitations in malleability, so Transition became a process of guiding and then finding the right fit through embracing the characteristics of the material.
